Welcome to our Physical Science course, where learning comes to life through a combination of direct instruction, group projects, and hands-on lab exploration. Following the sequencing of the units listed below, students will gain an introduction to chemistry, physics, and engineering.
This course will not only require but also inspire students to write about their laboratory work, helping them develop strong scientific communication skills.
Suitable for all middle school students (grades 6-8), this course promises an engaging and immersive learning experience.

MATERIALS
- Please come to the first class with a laboratory notebook. This can be a simple composition notebook like this one. It shall remain in the classroom for students to use during class. Please contact the instructor if you would like them to scan it for work samples.
- A pencil with plenty of eraser
- 1 inch 3-ring binder with 3 dividers
- Completed homework assignment from the week before
- A work folder for each student will be made available in the classroom for parents to come in and obtain work samples.
- All laboratory materials will be provided by The Center*
Textbook
- A majority of activities, labs, and projects have been developed by your instructor. Your child will receive these materials from the instructor during class.
- We will also work from this textbook which is available digitally for free.
