MATH IN THE REAL WORLD

This course will be project-based and there is not a textbook required.

This is a year-long course


This Math course provides a comprehensive look at the study of applied mathematics. Students are challenged to develop a deep understanding of mathematics in daily life. This course will meet the rigor of an algebra 1 course, but explain concepts using a real-world approach. A large portion of the curriculum was compiled from the works of the Next Gen Personal Finance organization (NGPF) which is a group of educators dedicated to sharing free curriculum to teachers about personal finance.

  5. Types of Credit


Second Semester Units:

  1. Managing Credit

  3. Insurance
  4. Budgeting
  5. Geometry
