Explore the fascinating world of reptiles in our Reptile Discovery Class! Designed for curious minds and budding herpetologists, this class offers a hands-on, inquiry-based learning experience focused on the diverse reptiles that call California and our Learning Center home.

Students will get up close and personal with our resident reptiles and learn about the bioactive habitats where they reside. Our reptile family includes:

Mr. Higgs: Our wise and elderly ball python
Mouse: Our charming Children's python
Mary James: Our captivating bearded dragon
Ziggy and Cinderblock: Our laid-back leopard geckos
Marley: Our curious crested gecko
Stevie Wonderbra: The fascinating Banana Ball Python
Debo: Our new, young cinnamon het ball python
Our thriving colony of breeding crested geckos, including our newest hatchling, Carlos

In addition to meeting our resident reptiles, students will delve into the lives of native California species such as king snakes, gopher snakes, rattlesnakes, alligator lizards, blue bellied Western Fence lizards, and Granite spiny lizards.

Through engaging activities and interactive lessons, students will discover the unique features, behaviors, and habitats of these incredible creatures. This class emphasizes hands-on learning, encouraging students to ask questions, make observations, and deepen their understanding of reptilian life.

Join us for an exciting journey into the world of reptiles and uncover the secrets of these amazing animals!
